Merchandise Buyer

Role & responsibilities

• Identify, source, and onboard new vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers across gifting categories (tech, gourmet, plants, eco-friendly, apparel, etc.).
  
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply timelines to optimize cost and profitability.
  
• Curate and maintain an innovative, trend-driven product assortment in line with Giftech Globals brand positioning.
  
• Forecast product demand based on sales data, seasonality, and upcoming campaigns.
  
• Collaborate with the design, content, and marketing teams for new product launches and packaging innovations.
  
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and stock turnover to ensure consistent product availability.
  
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify emerging gifting trends and potential new product lines.
  
• Ensure product quality, packaging standards, and compliance with company and client expectations.
  
• Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to manage timelines for procurement and delivery.
  
• Maintain and update product listings, costing sheets, and vendor databases.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  
• 2-5 years of experience in

  buying, merchandising, or sourcing

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  
• Excellent analytical and trend forecasting abilities.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management tools.
