Mep Engineer

Job Summary:

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a relevant knowledge of system design, project coordination, and construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:

1. System Design:

• Review designs of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various construction projects.
• Review detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.

2. Project Planning:

• Develop MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.

3. Technical Analysis:

• Review load calculations and system sizing for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform feasibility studies and technical evaluations.

Project Management:

1. Project Coordination:

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.

2. Quality Control:

• Ensure that all MEP works are carried out in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and quality.

3. Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

• Dip/ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering.
• Proven experience in the implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Skills:

• Good Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS project MS office is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
