Mep Engineer - Plumbing

Job Title:

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:

• Develop and design plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, drainage, and water supply for residential buildings.
• Create layouts and plans using CAD software to ensure efficient plumbing systems that meet project specifications and codes.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated MEP design solutions.

• Project Coordination and Site Visits:

• Conduct site assessments and evaluate project requirements to create customized plumbing solutions.
• Attend site visits to monitor installations, check quality, and resolve any issues with on-site teams.
• Collaborate with project management and construction teams to address on-site challenges and modifications as required.

• Materials and Equipment Selection:

• Specify and select appropriate materials, pipes, fixtures, and other equipment to ensure long-term performance and durability.
• Work with suppliers to source plumbing materials that meet budget, quality, and sustainability goals.

• Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and review project schedules, budget estimations, and progress reports to ensure project milestones are met.

• Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Oversee and conduct tests on installed plumbing systems to ensure functionality, efficiency, and safety.
• Resolve design discrepancies and provide troubleshooting solutions for complex plumbing issues.

Requirements:

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  3+ years of experience in plumbing design and engineering for residential projects.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
