MEP Engineer

Job Description

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for site execution, coordination, material management, measurements, and drawing-related activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. The role requires hands-on site experience and prior exposure to government construction or infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

MEP Execution & Site Coordination

• Supervise and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at site.
• Ensure MEP installations are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other site teams for smooth execution of works.

Material Management & Measurement

• Handle material planning, materialization, tracking, and site coordination.
• Assist in measurement of executed works and maintain records.
• Support preparation of quantity statements and work progress measurements.

Drawings & Documentation

• Read, interpret, and work as per MEP drawings and layouts.
• Coordinate drawing clarifications and site modifications as required.
• Maintain basic site documentation and work records.

Cost Awareness & Standards (Advantage)

• DSR & pricing knowledge is an added advantage.
• Support cost awareness during execution to minimize wastage and rework.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (MEP-related experience mandatory).

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant site experience in MEP works.
• Experience in working on government-based construction or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Technical & Software Skills

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Ability to understand and work with MEP drawings and measurements.
• Familiarity with materials used in MEP works.
