MEP Design Engineer

About the Company:

• Design HVAC (AC) systems including heat load calculations, ducting layout, chilled and condenser layout, water piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment selection & their positioning for installation.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical submittals, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, and MEP teams to ensure clash-free implementation.
• Support site teams by providing design intent and resolving technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with standards like ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and sector-specific norms IS 0655, SMACNA applicable for ducting work.
• Note: Selection of chillers, AHUs, pumps, cooling towers, instruments, valves, ADP along with proper designing of ducts, piping with supports etc. are mandatory including knowledge of soft water & water treatment of hard water.

• Understand customer-specific requirements to design appropriate ventilation systems (natural/forced/combined).
• Conduct seasonal heat-load calculations and design of fans (cost-effective), ducts etc. with ADP.
• Select ventilation equipment (fans, dampers, scrubbers, heat recovery systems, etc.) based on application, efficiency, and safety.
• Optimize ventilation designs for

  energy efficiency

  power savings

  without compromising performance.
• Ensure statutory safety in the selection process (e.g. fire, smoke etc.)
• Design and integrate

• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for specification-compliant products.

Skills & Tools:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, Bluebeam).
• Familiarity with CPHEEO, NBC, IS codes, and local plumbing regulations (mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and coordination skills.

• Power Supply & Distribution

  :
• Overall knowledge of an electrical system.
• Design and layout of HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) power distribution systems, panels, switchgear, and cabling including proper earthing.
