Mentor - IBDP, IBMYP and IGCSE

Role Description :

This is a Part-time, Online role for a Mentor specializing in IBDP, IBMYP, and IGCSE at our Mumbai location. The Mentor will be responsible for providing academic guidance, counseling, and support to students. Daily tasks include conducting tutoring sessions, assessing student progress, and developing personalized learning plans. The Mentor will also work closely with Program Director to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

1. Lead classes to deliver assigned curriculum for IBDP, IBMYP and IGCSE.

2. Give high-value demo classes that encourage students to enrol with IMS for tuitions in IBDP/IBMYP/IGCSE courses.

3. Conduct regular classes in their subjects for students.

4.Monitor students’ progress and give feedback to students and their parents.

5. Maintain proper records of students’ academic progress and take corrective action as necessary.

6.Develop IB-style question banks in their subjects.

Desirable :

1. Observe classes of other teachers from time-to-time and give constructive feedback.

2. Mentor subject teachers and ensure that their teaching practice aligns with IBDP Principles and Practices.

Skills required :

1.      Excellent subject knowledge

2.      Thorough understanding of IBDP Principles and Practices

3.      Complete awareness and familiarity with the subject guide, assessment objectives, assessment pattern, exam-style questions and markschemes.

4.      Proficient in the use of GDC.

5.      Full-time experience of at least 3 years teaching IBDP in a reputed school

6.      Fluent in both written and spoken English.

7.      Good inter-personal skills. Ability to pick non-verbal cues from students.

8. Expertise in international competitions across subjects e.g. AMC, World Schoolers cup, Essay competition.

Qualifications required:

• Post-Graduate in the relevant subject or a closely-related subject.
• Full-time experience of at least three years teaching the course in a reputed International school.
