Medical Transcriptionist

Primary responsibilities

• Transcription: Listen to voice recordings from physicians and other healthcare professionals and convert them into written reports.
• Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and correct medical terminology, making sure all reports are error-free.
• Data entry: Enter completed and approved reports into the hospital's electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Clarification and communication: Interact with healthcare providers to clarify confusing medical terms, instructions, or missing information in the dictations.
• Confidentiality and compliance: Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant legal guidelines.

Key tasks

• Transcribing various medical documents, including patient histories, discharge summaries, test results, and surgical reports.
• Researching and verifying medical terms and procedures as needed to ensure accuracy.
• Editing documents created by speech recognition software for accuracy.
• Submitting completed documents for provider review and approval in a timely manner.
• Managing and organizing medical transcription files to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Medical transcription: 2 years (Preferred)
• Radiology: 1 year (Preferred)
