Medical Oncologist

About The Opportunity

Primary title:

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology care across outpatient, day-care and inpatient settings—diagnosis, systemic therapy planning, administration and follow-up.
• Prescribe and oversee chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapy regimens; monitor response and manage acute and chronic toxicities.
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards to formulate evidence-based, individualized treatment plans with surgical, radiation and allied specialties.
• Perform or supervise bone marrow aspiration/biopsy and interpret relevant oncologic laboratory and pathology reports to guide therapy.
• Contribute to clinical trials and research initiatives—identify eligible patients, ensure protocol adherence and maintain accurate documentation per GCP.
• Deliver patient and family counseling on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options and palliative care pathways; escalate and coordinate supportive care as needed.

Must-Have (qualifications)

• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Oncology (MD/DNB or equivalent)
• Board certification or recognized specialist credential in Medical Oncology
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant Medical Council in India
• Demonstrated clinical experience managing systemic therapy for solid tumours and/or hematologic malignancies in inpatient and outpatient settings
  

Preferred (qualifications)

• Experience in investigator-initiated or sponsored clinical trials
• Fellowship or focused training in a subspecialty (e.g., hematologic malignancies, GI oncology, thoracic oncology)
• Certification or formal training in palliative and supportive oncology
