Job Description

Backup editor on brands, bring energy, organization, and attention to detail
Know the data, the competitors, client style, and AMA style well
Be the editor, fact checker, and proofreader for a variety of promotional and educational materials for physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients from manuscript through release
Recognize the different editorial requirements needed for print and digital pieces
Be proficient in underlying interactive technologies, such as web and mobile
Have knowledge of AMA style, grammar, and usage, and good working knowledge of computer programs (as applicable to the department)
Be able to communicate well with supervisors and internal brand team
Be able to take feedback constructively, have respect for teammates with regard to attendance, communication, and participation in workload
Collaborate with Project Management, Copy, Art, and Account Services
Manage the timing and quality control of projects, including copy editing, styling, and fact checking
Be eager for real-time feedback, with an eagerness to learn and advance
Observe and promote leadership skills in others
