Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of medical coders to meet productivity and quality benchmarks.
Ensure adherence to
CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS
guidelines across multiple specialties.
Oversee coding for diverse specialties:
surgical, anesthesia, procedures, and ancillary services
.
Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with QA, training, and operations teams to address coding errors and implement corrective measures.
Monitor team performance and provide continuous feedback and support.
Stay updated with industry changes and regulatory requirements in medical coding.
Participate in client calls, performance reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

CPC Certification
from AAPC
Mandatory
Minimum 5+
years of overall coding experience
across multiple specialties.
At least
1 year of experience in managing or supervising a coding team
.
In-depth knowledge of
CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS
, and payer-specific guidelines.
Familiarity with US healthcare compliance standards and coding regulations.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional coordination.
