Mechanical Technician

Roles and Responsibilities

To ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all mechanical systems, utilities, and production equipment in the manufacturing plant by carrying out effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.

Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical systems and machinery (pumps, conveyors, compressors, gearboxes.).

Ensure minimum equipment downtime and maximum availability.

Troubleshoot mechanical faults and implement root cause analysis for recurring issues.

Coordinate with electrical and production teams for smooth operations.

Supervise installation and commissioning of new machines, production lines, and utility equipment.

Verify alignment, balancing, and proper mechanical fitment during installation.

Maintain documentation of drawings, manuals, and commissioning reports

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and utilities

• Perform breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  
• Conduct hydraulic system, pneumatic system, machine operation, condition monitoring, spares management, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure smooth plant operations.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for equipment installation & commissioning projects.
  
• Utilize AutoCAD Mechanical software for design purposes.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  
• Strong understanding of breakdown analysis, preventative maintenance practices (predictive maintenance), and root cause analysis techniques.
  
• Proficiency in working with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, machines operation, condition monitoring tools.
