Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Integration Technician with a solid background in aviation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with power tools, mechanical assembly, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The role involves working on critical assemblies and systems related to aircraft or aviation equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly, fitting, and modification tasks as per aviation standards.
- Use power tools, torque tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently for assembly and maintenance.
- Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documents.
- Assist in installation, alignment, and adjustment of aircraft components and systems.
- Follow work instructions, SOPs, and maintenance manuals accurately.
- Conduct inspections, functional tests, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Document work performed as per quality and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with quality inspectors and engineers during build and test phases.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with 5S and safety practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly/maintenance in aviation or aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge and handling experience of mechanical tools (drills, riveters, grinders, torque wrenches, etc.).
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of basic GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.
- Familiarity with aviation standards (e.g., EASA, FAA, AS9100) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of safety, quality, and documentation requirements in aerospace.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Add-ons
- Knowledge of Aircraft Structure Assembly or EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System).
- Familiarity with material handling, fastening systems, and sealants used in aircraft assembly.
- Experience working with jigs, fixtures, or precision alignment tools.
- Exposure to MRO or aircraft integration work is advantageous.
