Mechanical Inspection Engineer

As an Inspection Engineer - Mechanical in the Inspection Services department, you will be responsible for the inspection and quality surveillance of site construction, shop fabrication, and testing in sectors such as crude oil/gas refinery, petrochemical/chemical industry, or Power Sector. Your role will involve inspecting pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, other equipment, storage tanks, line pipes, cross country pipelines, plant piping, structures, materials, and NDT. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct inspection and quality surveillance of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, storage tanks, pipelines, structures, and materials - Possess NDT qualifications such as VT, RT, PT, UT, and MT at Level II - Familiarity with welding processes and qualifications (WPS/PQR/WPQ), material testing, valves, castings, forgings, welding control, heat treatment, etc. - Knowledge of National/International Standards and codes such as IS, ASTM, ASME, API, EN, BS, DIN, AD 2000 - Experience in the manufacture, testing, and laying of oil and gas pipelines, as well as rotating equipment like pumps and compressors - Ability to interpret applicable codes such as API and ensure compliance - Previous experience with Third Party Inspection Agencies will be advantageous Qualifications Required: - Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) from a reputable institute - Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience for B.E. and 8-12 years for DME in inspection/QA-QC activities - NDT certification (ASNT/ISNT Level II/III) in UT, RT, MT, PT, VT, LT, ET - Membership in professional bodies like Indian Institute of Welding (IWE/IWT), American Welding Society (AWS), CSWIP, Institute of Chartered Engineers, etc. is preferable Additional Details: - The position offers full-time or freelance job types with benefits like a flexible schedule and health insurance. - The work location is in person, with opportunities in Pune, Shirwal, Jejuri, Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Aurangabad.
