Job Description

Key responsibilities

Supervision: Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the mechanical team, ensuring fair allocation of tasks.
Safety: Ensure all work is performed safely, monitor compliance with safety practices, and address any safety deficiencies.
Quality: Monitor work quality, ensure it meets specifications, and oversee the execution of jobs with a focus on quality.
Planning: Plan work activities, manage the allocation of materials, and ensure the right tools and equipment are available.
Problem-solving: Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and liaise with other departments to resolve technical issues or disagreements.
Training: Ensure team members have the necessary training and skills for their roles.

Typical qualifications

Education: A diploma or ITI in a mechanical or related field is often required.
Experience: Experience in mechanical work.
Skills: The ability to read blueprints, manage a team, and maintain a safe working environment is crucial.
