Mechanical Fitter

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment. Your duties will include reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, as well as fitting and aligning components, machinery, and parts. It will be essential for you to perform inspections and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation, conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, and utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Additionally, you will need to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working collaboratively with engineers and other team members on installations and modifications. To qualify for this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical certification or apprenticeship being preferred. Proven experience as a mechanical fitter or in a similar role is required, along with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components. Proficiency in using tools and equipment for fitting and maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are also necessary. The ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential for success in this position.
