Job Description:

A Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the proficient operation, inspection, and preventive maintenance of excavators and other earth-moving machinery used in site preparation, excavation, material handling and construction support. This includes ensuring machines are operated safely and efficiently, monitoring equipment condition, performing scheduled service tasks (e.g., lubrication, fluid level checks, filter changes, wear-part inspection), diagnosing and coordinating necessary repairs, and maintaining accurate service logs and records.

Responsibilities:

Monitor machine usage, service hours and performance metrics; maintain accurate logs of machine operating hours, maintenance history, parts usage, breakdowns and repairs.

Collaborate with site engineers and project supervisors to optimize machine deployment, ensure machines are in the correct configuration/attachment for the job, and verify that they comply with site safety, environmental and emission standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience (e.g., 2–4 years or more) in mechanical engineering or maintenance of heavy equipment / earth‑moving machinery (or allied equipment).

Experience in maintenance planning, equipment inspection, scheduling or repair of hydraulic / mechanical systems is highly desirable.

Familiarity with heavy‑machinery work‑site environments and maintenance protocols will be a plus.
