Job Summary Job Description The engineer should be well versed in AutoCAD with reasonable speed in preparation of drawings. Good understanding of engineering drawings (views in 3 directions) of sheet metal and structural work is a must. Candidate should be aware of preparation of general assembly drawings for approval from customer. Layout for cutting raw material should be prepared upon completion of detailed drawing. Timely completion of all drawings is a must for smooth operations of the company and hence candidate should be fast enough in ensuring that the work gets completed in time. Explaining drawings to vendors/employees in manufacturing unit by visiting their works/workshop, ensuring that material manufactured is as per drawing form a part of the design engineer’s job. Site visit once a month for taking dimensional measurements and performance test are part of technical work.
