Mechanical Engineering Intern

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support technical assessments across a range of insurance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid mechanical engineering background, and the ability to translate engineering knowledge into actionable insurance insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluations related to property damage, machinery breakdowns, and mechanical system failures.
• Assist in claims investigations, providing expert assessments on the cause and extent of mechanical failures.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to evaluate risk and advise on technical exposures.
• Prepare detailed reports, including diagrams and failure analyses, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support field inspections and site visits when required.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies relevant to insurance risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience (insurance, forensic engineering, or industrial/mechanical systems preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineers clearly and concisely.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for site inspections when needed.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
