We’re looking for a hands-on embedded systems engineer with deep experience in PMSM and BLDC motor control, who thrives in fast-paced development cycles and wants to make a meaningful impact on real-world motion systems. Key Responsibilities: •Design and develop embedded firmware for motor control systems using FOC (Field Oriented Control), SVPWM, and other real-time algorithms. •Implement sensorless and sensored control algorithms for PMSM/BLDC motors. •Work with STM32, TI C2000, PIC, or similar microcontrollers for motor control firmware development. •Own PID tuning, current/torque/speed loop implementation, and system optimization. •Develop hardware bring-up test routines, overcurrent/undervoltage protection, stall detection, and diagnostics. •Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and systems teams on board bring-up, testing, and integration. •Document architecture, design, and test results; maintain version-controlled firmware repositories. Required Skills & Experience: •5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably bare-metal or lightweight RTOS. •Proven experience working with PMSM/BLDC motor control in production or advanced prototyping. •Strong understanding of sensorless FOC, back-EMF/observer/PLL methods, and practical challenges in tuning control loops. •Hands-on experience with motor control toolchains (TI InstaSPIN, ST Motor Control SDK, Microchip Motor Control Library, etc.) •Proficient in C / C++, debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and Git. Location: Pune, India Company: Quintrans About the Role We are building the next generation of electromechanical and electromagnetic actuator systems powering robotics, automation, and mobility. As a Mechanical Engineer , you will work at the intersection of precision design, advanced materials, and mechatronics , taking concepts from CAD to real-world prototypes . What You’ll Do Design precision components & assemblies for actuators (linear motors, hybrid motion systems, electromechanical actuation systems). Run simulations (FEA, thermal, fatigue) to validate designs. Build & test prototypes with cross-functional teams (electronics, controls, embedded). Develop test rigs, fixtures, and validation setups for actuator performance. Collaborate with suppliers & vendors for manufacturability and scaling. Document designs, BOMs, and validation reports for compliance & IP. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s/master’s in mechanical engineering. 2–5 years’ experience in precision design, mechatronics, or actuator systems . Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor) and FEA (ANSYS/COMSOL). Strong grasp of materials (steels, composites, polymers) & manufacturing processes. Hands-on with prototyping, machining, and testing. Nice to Have Experience with linear actuators, compact gearbox designs, or motor systems . Exposure to ISO/ASTM testing & reliability analysis.
