Mechanical Engineer - Thermal

Role Overview: As a Senior Manager/Sr. Manager/DGM Mechanical Engineer at Tractebel Engineering Private Limited, you will be responsible for the design and development of main plant components for combined cycle power plants. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership in the basic and detailed design of main plant components for combined cycle power plants. - Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed project reports for various projects related to combined cycle power plants. - Enhance the efficiency and performance of combined cycle power plants through main plant design. - Prepare essential design documentation including Design Criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, system descriptions, sizing calculations, RFPs, and vendor evaluations. - Collaborate with equipment vendors to ensure components meet required standards and specifications. - Ensure all design work complies with international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS. - Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to convey technical concepts and recommendations. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to foster professional growth within the team. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. - 10-18 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a proven track record in combined cycle power plant design. - In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and various types of pumps used in combined cycle power plants. - Strong familiarity with international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS. - Proficiency in preparing design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, system descriptions, sizing calculations, RFPs, and vendor evaluations. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively. - Previous experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.,
