Role Overview: As an Engineer - Mechanical Design at Vertiv's IBS Pune facility in Global MCAD CoE, you will have the exciting opportunity to work in a technically driven environment with minimal functional management. Your role will involve designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies, specifically focusing on Busway systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, specifically focusing on Busway systems - Work on CAD modeling and detailing using SolidWorks tools, including creating 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings - Acquire and understand product knowledge required to execute projects efficiently - Participate in customer and review meetings with team members globally for project coordination and meeting design requirements and deadlines - Provide project estimations based on requirements and adhere to project management processes - Maintain quality and schedule adherence as defined by the organization - Acknowledge and responsibly execute additional stretch responsibilities given by the organization Qualifications: - Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design/CAD environment - 3-5 years of experience on the SolidWorks platform in the sheet metal domain - Expertise in 3D modeling and detailing work on SolidWorks, including generating Bills of Materials and understanding of CO process - Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SolidWorks - Added advantages include experience in the Switchgear industry, working with PLM tools like Agile or PD cloud, knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, and experience in a fabrication environment - Display proactive and flexible approach to working within a team, self-management, self-motivation, and delivering to project milestones - Possess innovative problem-solving skills and professional verbal and written communication skills,
