Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at Aryan Cables located in Village Manda, Bhojipura, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing mechanical systems and machinery used in the cable manufacturing process. Your key responsibilities will include: - Maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing mechanical equipment such as extruders, cable stranding machines, cooling troughs, and drawing machines. - Planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize machine uptime. - Coordinating with production, quality, and electrical teams to ensure machines meet required quality, efficiency, and safety standards. - Conducting root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implementing corrective & preventive actions. - Assisting in layout design, installation, and commissioning of new machinery or modifications. - Ensuring availability of mechanical components, spare parts, and consumables that meet quality standards. - Preparing technical documentation including machine manuals, maintenance logs, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Monitoring mechanical performance metrics, suggesting improvements, and leading mechanical improvement projects. - Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental norms. Qualifications & Skills required for this role: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline. - (Optional if mid/senior level) 2-5 years (or more) of experience in manufacturing / heavy machinery environment, ideally in cable, wire, or similar continuous production industry. - Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drives, gearboxes, hydraulic / pneumatic systems, bearings, alignment, etc. - Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and mechanical layouts. - Good skills in maintenance planning and execution. - Knowledge of tools & techniques for diagnostics, condition monitoring (vibrations, lubrication, alignment). - Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.) is a plus. - Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills. - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
