Job Description:

• Qualification : Mechanical Draftsman - Diploma
• Experience (No. of years): 1-2 years.
• Critical competencies/skill sets for the role: Experience in Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) 2D & 3D. Understanding of product design & mechanical engineering principles. Understanding basic concepts of Press tool design. Basic knowledge of GD&T (Fits & Tolerances). Basic Knowledge of Jigs & Fixtures design. Knowledge of standardization (Standards used in manufacturing). Good communication, interpersonal & Problem-solving skills. Ability to present data effectively. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work standards.

Overall Purpose/Objective Of the job: Responsible for design & drafting of all tooling dies, jigs, fixtures and fittings for press tools as per production requirements to support business objectives. Support new tooling for new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product builds.
Key Deliverables/Job description: Drafting in tools & fixture drawings through AutoCAD 2D/3D software, if any modification / changes required for improvement. Identifying & communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team. Support new project tooling from design release stage through to start of production.
