Mechanical Draftsman

DESIGNATION-Mechanical Draftsman Job Description- A Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts for mechanical systems, components, and machinery. They work closely with mechanical engineers and designers to convert concepts, calculations, and specifications into accurate drawings used for manufacturing and construction. Key Responsibilities: Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) Prepare assembly drawings, part drawings, and fabrication details Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations Revise drawings based on engineering changes and feedback Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines Maintain drawing records and documentation Coordinate with engineers, production teams, and quality control Skills & Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) Good understanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and teamwork skills Work Environment: Office-based or site-based depending on project needs May work in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors
