Description
We are looking for a Jr. Design Engineer – Mechanical to join our design and NPD team. The candidate must be proficient in SolidWorks , with strong knowledge of casting and machining processes , tool and fixture design , and engineering tolerances . This role involves close coordination with manufacturing and quality teams in a fast-paced production environment , with a focus on end-to-end design support, documentation, and validation . Key Responsibilities: Develop accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) Design fixtures, jigs, tooling , and support casting pattern development Apply correct GD&T , tolerance analysis, and ensure manufacturability of designs Support design documentation , including design reports, revision history, and technical records Assist in design validation through testing, fitment checks, and collaboration with QA/QC teams Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent and production feasibility Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design and manufacturing Key Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Part/Assembly modeling, Drafting, GD&T) Good understanding of casting and machining processes Hands-on experience in fixture design , tooling , and pattern design Familiarity with design documentation standards and validation procedures Ability to multitask and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong problem-solving and communication skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Health insurance Leave encashment Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Experience: SolidWorks: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person Expected Start Date: 10/06/2025
