Job Description

Job Summary:

Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.).
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and quality assurance.
  • Perform tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and material selection as per design requirements.
  • Review and improve existing product designs to enhance performance or reduce costs.
  • Support prototype development and testing.
  • Maintain documentation including BOMs, design specifications, and test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar tools.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting, etc.).
  • Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and design for manufacturability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
