Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with strong proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. You will be responsible for designing mechanical components and systems, supporting product development, and ensuring that designs meet performance, cost, and reliability targets. Key Responsibilities: Develop and design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.). Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and quality assurance. Perform tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and material selection as per design requirements. Review and improve existing product designs to enhance performance or reduce costs. Support prototype development and testing. Maintain documentation including BOMs, design specifications, and test reports. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering. 2–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar tools. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting, etc.). Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and design for manufacturability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Good verbal and written communication skills.
