Job description:

Mechanical Design Engineer:

A mechanical Draughtsman prepares detailed technical drawings for the manufacturing and repair of mechanical components, equipment & systems.

They use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D models and drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Should have knowledge on 2D & 3D Autocad, solid-works , sheet metal industry, nesting , fabrication etc

Roles& Responsibilities :

• Creating Drawings: Producing detailed drawings from sketches, notes, or samples, including assembly drawings, sectional views, and part drawings.
• Using CAD Software: Utilising various CAD tools to create, modify, and manage technical drawings.
• Calculating Dimensions:Determining and applying accurate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications to drawings.
• Collaboration:Working with engineers, designers, and other professionals to understand requirements and resolve design issues.
• Documenting:Maintaining copies of drawings and generating prints or other output as needed.
• Specialisation: Some draughtsmen may specialise in areas like jigs and tools or 3D modelling.
