Job Description

We are recruiting a Mechanical commissioning Engineer who is willing to relocate to Africa : Responsibilities: Review and Approval of commissioning and HSE procedures check of the final construction and erection of the Works The witnessing and certification of the following: 1- Putting under tension of the main electrical and sub-systems 2- No-load start-up of the individual and groups of systems 3- No-load start-up of each system 4- Start-up of each system under load. The monitoring of the under-load operation and performance tests of the equipment and systems. Evaluation of the operational results and certifying that the equipment and/or systems are meeting the requirements of the tender documents and design. In case the equipment and systems are not meeting the requirements of the tender requirements, to define the course of action, by either replacing the equipment/systems or modifying/rectifying it, in order to meet the tender requirements. Provision of advice to the Client that the equipment/systems are ready for take-over The preparing and issuing of Acceptance Certificate for the equipment/systems. Issuance of weekly reports highlighting the supervision of activities, critical issues, and corrective actions. Final commissioning report summarizing all completed activities and system availability for operation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering More than 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas Familiar with API, ANSI, NFPA and relevant standards Experience in commissioning or operation of mechanical systems in oil and gas, refinery, or petrochemical (pipelines, rotating and static equipment, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels etc.) Knowledge of commissioning procedures, from the initial factory acceptance testing (FAT) to site acceptance testing (SAT) knowledge of petroleum refining processes such as distillation, catalytic cracking, hydro-processing, and sulfur recovery.
