Mechanical CAD Engineer (R&D)

About the Position: -

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Battery Engineer Mechanical CAD engineer with expertise in Mechanical CAD Designing to join our new venture. We our building an R&D team of 10individuals to focus on the development of advanced battery systems for High Voltage ESS applications.

Key Responsibilities 

Design and develop cutting-edge products, including component selection, module design, and system integration, to meet specific application requirements and performance targets.  Continuously improve existing mechanical designs through innovation and material selection to enhance energy density, thermal management, and system reliability.

Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for components and assemblies.

 Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.

 Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.

 Collaborate in the prototyping phase to validate mechanical systems and subsystems, ensuring compatibility with the overall product. Participate in testing and analysis of prototypes.

 Identify opportunities to reduce production costs while maintaining quality and performance standards for mechanical components.

 Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to drive continuous improvement and innovation in product Design.

 Conduct DFMEAs, DFA, DFM & DFX studies to assess, document and iterate the design during the product’s lifecycle.

 Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical aspects of product.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  Proven experience in designing mechanical systems, enclosures, racks and heavy structures.

 Proficiency in CAD software.  Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach.

 Design as per industry standards and regulations pertaining to product.  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

 Highly motivated and able to work independently.  Strong knowledge of design & development of Sheet Metal, Die Cast, Plastic.

 Extrusion, Machined parts. Excellent familiarity with different rapid prototyping techniques

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per year
