Job Description

Role & responsibilities

To prepare technical bid enquiry by finalizing scope of supply, scope of services, specifications of major equipment covered under department.
Technical evaluation of the bids received for technical spares.
To support department head in finalizing the scope of work of all routine & non routine work order.
To support department head in finalizing the opex & capex requisition.
Apply maintenance methodology, defining operational steps, manpower, spares and other resources necessary to achieve efficient and safe maintenance in line with technical standards.
Manage and improve the use of management tools, procedures and methodologies for maintenance.
Define the detailed methodology for carrying out all the jobs according to priorities, and the required resources, skills coordination and supervision.
Ensure that all the necessary materials are available for the planned operations.
Maintain ownership of equipment parts list and initiate new part item request when needed to insure that the correct parts are available to properly execute planned work
Prepare time and cost estimates for work orders and job plans to help optimising resources allocation.
Institute and practice good spares management system for ensuring availability of spares at the same time controlling the inventory cost by minimizing cost
Plan major equipment annual overhauls.
Draw up the technical specifications for the purchase of the spare parts.
Manage general and specific technical documentation.
Department Budget preparation.
Tracking of Actual cost versus budgeted cost
