Matlab Engineer

A product engineering organization operating in embedded systems, controls, and algorithm development for industrial, automotive, and aerospace applications is hiring a MATLAB Engineer to join its India on-site engineering team. The role focuses on taking prototype algorithms to production-quality model-based implementations, verification, and embedded code delivery.

• Design, implement, and validate signal-processing and control algorithms in MATLAB and Simulink for embedded targets.


• Develop and maintain Model-Based Design artifacts, Stateflow logic, and Simulink models that meet performance and safety requirements.


• Generate and optimise production code using Simulink Coder / Embedded Coder and integrate generated C into target firmware.


• Create and execute verification plans: unit tests, model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testcases.


• Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams to define interfaces, performance budgets, and deployment workflows for on-target execution.


• Document design decisions, maintain traceability, and contribute to CI/CD, code review, and model governance processes.

Candidate profile / Qualifications: Bachelors or Master s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent. 2-6 years of hands-on experience developing algorithms and models in MATLAB/Simulink and delivering embedded code for target microcontrollers or DSPs. Strong debugging skills on hardware platforms and experience with version control and test automation are highly desirable.
