Material Research Internship

Role Overview: As an Intern at REFASH, your primary responsibility will be conducting research and documenting global and Indian suppliers of agri-waste and biodegradable fabrics. You will assist in preparing fiber comparison matrices encompassing GSM, pricing, MOQ, dyeing requirements, and more. It will be crucial for you to liaise with suppliers to obtain swatches, specification sheets, and necessary certifications. You will also play a vital role in supporting the team by contributing to the development of internal databases and material decks. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct research and document global and Indian suppliers of agri-waste and biodegradable fabrics. - Assist in preparing fiber comparison matrices encompassing GSM, pricing, MOQ, dyeing requirements, etc. - Liaise with suppliers to obtain swatches, specification sheets, and necessary certifications. - Contribute to the development of internal databases and material decks. - Keep track of compliance certifications such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX, SEDEX. - Stay informed about the latest innovations in sustainable textiles. Qualifications Required: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field such as Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or Sustainability. - Strong research and documentation skills. - Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers effectively. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Interest in sustainable fashion and environmental conservation.
