Master Data Steward

We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Master Data Steward to join our Global Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP MM, PP & SD modules, Engineering design interpretation, and automation tools. Expertise in Material Master creation, Bill of Materials (BOM) loading, Engineering Change Management, Teamcenter part management and foundational Product Compliance activities are essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on cross-functional projects and gain exposure to Product Development, Data Governance and Compliance Processes

Our Team

We are the Centralized Master Data Team playing a pivotal role in supporting a wide array of business units and divisions globally across Molex. This team ensures integrity, accessibility, and governance of materials data across the enterprise, enabling efficient product development, compliance, and operational excellence. This position involves interacting and working with Product & Project Engineers, the Material Science team, Operations, Supply chain and the Product Stewardship team in managing materials data and libraries for global plants and business units.

What You Will Do

• Lead the creation and management of Material Master data for various material types in SAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Interpret NX CAD drawings/models to accurately load Engineering and Production BOMs into SAP.

• Planning, prioritizing, solving problems, reporting progress, executing project objectives & meeting deadlines
• Perform data quality checks and audits to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in SAP & Teamcenter.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/ Industrial/ Chemical/Electrical/Electronics & Communication or similar domains)

• 2-4 years Industrial knowledge in any large or medium scale manufacturing organization experienced in Materials Management, Production Planning, Engineering Change Management (ECM) functions are preferred.
• Apply knowledge of SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA, specifically in MM, SD & PP modules, to support production, material & customer management processes
• Knowledge of database platforms like Teamcenter, EBX & Alation
• Adapt to and learn new skills on Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI etc. which is useful to current process.
• Python Scripting knowledge with NumPy and Pandas libraries will be a double advantage.
• Contribute ideas and solutions proactively, demonstrating quick learning to new tools, platforms, or processes.
• Understand the product development lifecycle and contribute to industrial processes.
• Exhibit strong analytical thinking and problem-solving using tools like 8D, SMART, Fishbone, and cause-effect diagrams.

• Set up work instructions, Process flows and SOPs as required to improvise the processes.
• Ability to mass upload data in SAP using LSMW, Batch processing, Quadrate or other similar tools
• Proficiency in MS-Office Applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint site, PowerBI, PowerApps etc.
• VBA/ Macro scripts will be an added advantage.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to think in alternative ways to grasp, improvise and complete any given task with high accuracy.
