Master Data Steward

As a Data Governance Operations Lead at Black Box, you will be responsible for leading a team of data stewards, providing mentoring and training, and maintaining master data attributes for customers, suppliers, parts, solutions, and items. Your role will involve collaborating with the Master Data Governance team to recommend process improvements, ensuring effective communication with users and senior leadership. You will interface with cross-functional teams to validate adherence to master data policies, correct non-adherence, and perform validation and corrections through audit reports. Your responsibilities will also include applying best business practices for mass data updates, serving as a subject matter expert in DGO operations, developing standard procedures and training materials, and identifying trends using analytical skills. Additionally, you will act as a Change Ambassador, promoting the adoption of new processes and ensuring that only approved changes enter the production environment. To excel in this role, you must possess a methodical approach, attention to detail, and organizational skills. You should be able to translate IT service business needs into system and master data requirements, communicate effectively across all organizational levels, and understand the impact of master data on various functions and applications. Collaboration, customer service orientation, and a focus on process improvement are essential for success. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, along with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in data management and analysis. Proficiency in SAP Master Data Management, experience with computer system validation, and familiarity with ERP Master Data processes are advantageous for this role.
