The project aims to conduct extensive election surveys across West Bengal. Position Details Role: On-Ground Reporter Location: All over West Bengal Employment Type: Project-based, full-time Project Duration: 2 months Salary: 15,000 per month Travel Allowance: Separate travel allowance will be provided based on daily travel Working Days: 6 days a week (on-field work) Job Responsibilities As an On-Ground Reporter, you'll be the face of this project for Oneindia . Your primary responsibility is to gather on-the-ground insights and conduct unbiased surveys within your assigned constituency. This involves: On-the-Ground Reporting: Visiting assigned areas within the constituency to conduct surveys and collect real-time information for Oneindia's project. Data Collection: Accurately collecting data using provided forms, tablets, or mobile applications. Impartiality: Ensuring all questions are asked in a neutral and unbiased manner, without influencing respondents' answers. Target Completion: Meeting daily and weekly survey targets to ensure the project timeline is met. Travel: Traveling extensively within your assigned district to cover various localities. Reporting: Submitting accurate and timely reports to your supervisor. Qualifications & Skills Education: Minimum 12th pass. A bachelor's degree is a plus. Experience: Previous experience in field surveys, data collection, or on-the-ground research is a strong advantage. Local Knowledge: Must have excellent knowledge of the assigned district's geography, language, and culture. Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Bengali and Hindi . Knowledge of English is a plus. Impartiality: Ability to maintain strict neutrality and professionalism at all times. Physical Fitness: Must be physically able to handle extensive daily travel and walking. Equipment: Owning a smartphone is mandatory.
