MAPP_Fullstack Senior Developer

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid Java frontend and backend development experience (minimum 4 years) including JDK [1] FX 8 and JDK 11 (likewise Zulu Open JDK), for Java EE 8 (Payara/GlassFish v5) and Jakarta EE 10 (Payara Server v6) applications
• Experience in Apache HTTP/Payara Servers application maintenance including software component management, compliance/security practices and pro-active improvements
• Experience with SQL Databases (Oracle) including data modelling, procedures, functions and management at DBA level
• Experience with backend IN, OUT and IN/OUT interfaces including REST APIs, Kafka, DB/MViews and Message Queues
• Using and maintaining CI/CD tools (IntelliJ, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube) and practices, local and remote debugging including Docker, Elastic Stack, Kubernetes and 4 wheels guided components
• IT Operations (Incident-, Change-, Problem-management), ITSM (Service Now), JIRA (including integration to Github), Confluence
• Conversational English skills minimum equivalent B1 level
• Self-dependent principle of work and willingness to learn continuously
• Pro-active improvement drive and commitment to consistent exceptional deliveries

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, inside the development team and with team leads
• Migration of interfaces between technologies (e. g. MView to Kafka) and of authentication methods (e. g. -ig servers to token based authentication)
• Release and deployment management, including custom deployment procedures to Productive environments
• Implementation and maintenance of continuous monitoring tools (Grafana, AKHQ, Loki, Kibana)
• User interaction experience on second level support, including foreign users (requiring translation)
• Pro-active improvement drive and commitment to consistent exceptional deliveries
• Backlog management and technical specification/refinement of items, from requirement until successful deployable implementation
• Ability to handle time constrained requirements and emergent situations in productive environment

WHICH QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DO WE NEED FOR THE ROLE

• Proven Java backend/frontend development experience, including connection to SQL database, minimum of 4 years
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, from debugging/development to Productive deployment and migration of platforms and tools
• Diverse interface implementation, adaptation and maintenance experience
• Conversational English skills (minimum B1)

WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and maintenance of Java based large scale application.

You work in one of two specialized teams responsible for assembly planning software for BMW plants.
You develop new code for the software and ensure the productive system contains the business and IT requirements requested. You ensure all new code is made to excellent standards and assist your junior colleagues in doing the same. You manage the technical and functional daily requirements, coming from operations or compliance/security releases. You propose actions to improve system performance and smooth function in production. You interact with other developers, Tech leads and Scrum master, as well as BMW employees.
