Manufacturing Supervisor

You will be joining Aswathi Engineering, the parent company of Galvo Steel Doors, as a Manufacturing Supervisor based in Mukkam, Kozhikode, Kerala. As part of the Production Department, you will report to the Production Manager or Plant Head. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Calicut factory of Galvo Steel Doors, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality steel doors and windows. Your key responsibilities will include supervising various manufacturing processes such as cutting, welding, assembly, powder coating, and packaging to ensure smooth production flow and adherence to quality and safety standards. Furthermore, you will lead a team of skilled workers, monitor their performance, provide guidance to enhance efficiency, and ensure that daily production schedules are met. Collaborating with other departments such as design, inventory, and dispatch will be essential to maintain a seamless workflow within the factory. Maintaining factory safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and conducting regular machinery checks will also be part of your duties. You will be responsible for handling raw materials and finished goods carefully, tracking them appropriately, and coordinating with the maintenance team for preventive actions. Additionally, you will play a key role in training new workers and upskilling existing staff on production techniques and safety standards. Your ability to prepare daily production reports, identify and escalate issues to the Factory Manager when necessary, and implement lean practices to improve productivity will be crucial for success in this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a floor supervisor or in a manufacturing unit. Knowledge of fabrication, welding, or powder coating processes is advantageous. Strong leadership qualities, the ability to manage a diverse workforce, hands-on problem-solving skills, familiarity with safety regulations and quality assurance processes, and basic computer proficiency for reporting and documentation are also required. A Diploma/ITI/B-tech in Mechanical, Production, or related trades is preferred.
