Job Description

As a Manufacturing Production Worker at Hitachi Energy, you will focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment including machining, processing, assembly, or packaging. Your responsibilities will include: - Operating machine tools, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. - Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods. - Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products. - Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis. As a Specialist Para-Professional (S4), you will require advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience. Responsibilities may include working under limited supervision for non-routine situations, leading daily operations, training, delegating, and reviewing the work of lower-level employees. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex. Your impact will involve tasks such as: - Overseeing winding operations, including primary winding, insulation, and assembly. - Ensuring compliance with standard manufacturing processes for accuracy and efficiency. - Interpreting and implementing engineering drawings, winding sheets, and work instructions. - Allocating and managing operators to meet production targets. - Leading and developing a team of winding technicians, supervisors, and contract workers. - Identifying skill gaps and implementing training programs and multi-skilling initiatives. - Working closely with Planning, Purchase, Maintenance, and Quality departments for smooth execution of production schedules. - Driving Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. - Monitoring and reporting KPIs such as productivity, downtime, rework, and first-pass yield. - Ensuring critical equipment availability remains above 90%. - Enforcing strict adherence to EHS policies and promoting a zero-incident safety culture. - Conducting safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments regularly. - Ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering with relevant work experience. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
