Manufacturing Production Technician

Purpose of the position

This role is responsible for providing support to the Production Team & Customer Support Team, work on mechanical & electrical systems, which include assembly, testing, performing preventive maintenance Installation / commissioning and service of the mills.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for the assembly of the Mills.
• Repair and maintenance of the equipment and tools
• Testing of control panels during assembly.
• Testing of Mills.
• Prepare panel testing report and related documentation.
• Responsible for Inspection of equipment and subassemblies.
• Commissioning of the mill at customer end.
• Attend breakdown of mills physically or on call.
• Prepare Service and commissioning report.
• Provide electrical support to Service Team and Sales Team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Additional training or certification in maintenance, automation, or process operations will be an advantage
• Experience with machinery setup, operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and ability to work on both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Work experience for Diploma: 2-3 years & for ITI: 2-5 years

Technical Skills

• Assembly, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of motors, drives (VFD/ABB preferred), control panels, and electrical circuits.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and automation troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Skilled in using measurement and testing tools for both electrical and mechanical work.
