Manufacturing Process Engineer

Role Description and Key Responsibilities

The role involves tasks including but not limited to -

• Implement and sustain 5S principles to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment across all production areas.
• Lead and support Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, improve process flow, and enhance productivity.
• Conduct basic time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in operational methods and workstation setups.
• Participate in and facilitate the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify and mitigate process risks proactively
• Design and optimize shopfloor layouts to improve material flow, reduce bottlenecks, and support ergonomic practices.
• Drive data-driven decision-making through strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing performance using OEE, Throughput, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Work cross-functionally with quality, production, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
• Assist in the introduction of new processes and technologies, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
• Support continuous improvement projects using tools like Kaizen, root cause analysis, and visual management systems

Desired Qualifications and Experience-

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/process engineering role.

Desired Skills and Attributes-

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
• Basic understanding of time and motion study techniques.
• Experience or exposure to PFMEA and risk assessment tools.
• Proficient in designing efficient shopfloor layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
