Manufacturing and Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative 3D Designer and Technician to join our team. This role combines hands-on operation of 3D printing(FDM and SLA) with digital design responsibilities. You will manage the full lifecycle from CAD modeling to post-processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and manage FDM and SLA 3D printers.
• Design and optimize CAD models in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 for prototyping.
• Prepare print files (slicing, orientation, support structures).
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of printers.
• Post-process printed parts (support removal, sanding, finishing, curing).
• Work on rapid prototyping and small-batch production projects.
• Experiment with different materials, settings, and methods to improve output.
• Ensure consistent print quality, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe workspace.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FDM and SLA printing technologies.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 for 3D design.
• Familiarity with slicing software (Cura, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, Lychee, etc.).
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude for maintenance and problem-solving.
• Basic knowledge of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing workflows.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or similar.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D scanning, or reverse engineering.
• Knowledge of finishing techniques (priming, painting, polishing).
