Manager Welding Special Process

Role & responsibilities

1. Coordinate with the Design team to ensure welding feasibility, proper symbol representation, welding adequacy, and support for FM/FMEA activities.
2. Review and authorize Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and determine appropriate welding methods based on materials and environmental conditions.
3. Supervise and authorize trials and experiments to develop innovative welding methods and equipment.
4. Inspect weld quality, analyze defects, and provide recommendations for improvement.
5. Offer technical support and training to welders and supervisors to enhance skills and performance.
6. Manage welding projects, ensuring timely completion within budgetary.
7. Stay informed about industry advancements and integrate modern welding technologies.
8. Verify and authorize welder qualifications as per relevant code requirements.
9. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable national or international standards in welding and related activities.
10. Address non-conforming outputs and take necessary actions in consultation with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT).
11. Support vendor development initiatives to achieve high-quality welding outputs.
12. Implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles in Fabrication Processes.
13. To Optimize the Throughput Time & Man Hrs. for Capacity & Productivity Improvements.
14. To develop process automation in Welding processes and integrate modern welding technologies
15. Process Control Documents of PFC, SOP & PFMEA preparation.

Preferred candidate profile

1.GMAW,SMAW,SAW,FCAW,GTAW knowledge

15 Years Experience in Mfg. Field

3.Knowledge about GD &T, Engineering drawing

4.Knowledge in Heavy Fabrication & welding processes.

5.NDT and DT knowledge

6.CSWIP / IWE
