Individual Contributor (IC) role
What You'll Do
Strategic Learning Architecture
- Design and deploy a
comprehensive global talent development framework
aligned with VGL's business strategy, growth objectives, and cultural values across India, the US, Germany, the UK, and China. - Conduct organization-wide
learning needs assessments
and translate business challenges into scalable learning interventions. - Build
competency frameworks
and career progression pathways for critical roles across retail, operations, supply chain, technology, and corporate functions. - Create a 2
-year learning roadmap
with clear metrics, milestones, and ROI measurement frameworks.
Program Design & Delivery Excellence
- Develop and execute
high-impact leadership development programs
for emerging leaders, mid-level managers, and senior executives. - Design
role-specific functional training
curricula (sales excellence, customer service, merchandising, supply chain, digital commerce, manufacturing operations) - Build
onboarding and assimilation programs
that reduce time-to-productivity and enhance new hire retention across geographies. - Create
blended learning experiences
using digital platforms, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), microlearning, coaching, and experiential methodologies - Develop
change management and transformation enablement programs
to support business pivots and strategic initiatives.
Global Learning Operations
- Establish and manage the
Learning Management System (LMS)
with multi-language, multi-timezone capabilities. - Partner with global HR teams to identify and prioritize
talent development interventions
for high-potential employees and succession pipeline candidates - Curate and manage relationships with
external learning vendors, business schools, and consultants
for specialized programs - Design
train-the-trainer programs
to build internal facilitation capability across locations - Create
measurement dashboards
tracking learning effectiveness, behavior change, business impact, and ROI
Culture & Engagement
- Champion a
continuous learning culture
through learning campaigns, knowledge-sharing platforms, and recognition programs. - Design
peer learning forums, communities of practice, and mentoring programs
to accelerate knowledge transfer - Launch
innovation and upskilling initiatives
focused on emerging capabilities (AI/ML, data analytics, digital marketing, sustainability) - Support
diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) learning
interventions aligned with organizational values.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with
business leaders
to identify performance gaps and co-create learning solutions - Collaborate with
HR COEs
(Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits) to ensure integrated talent strategies. - Work with
IT/Technology teams
to leverage digital tools for learning delivery and analytics. - Engage with
Communication teams
to amplify learning initiatives and drive participation.
Essential Qualifications
10-15 years of dedicated experience
in Talent Development, Learning & Development, or Organization Development rolesProven track record
of designing and delivering enterprise-wide learning programs in multi-country, multi-cultural environments- Strong expertise in
adult learning principles, instructional design, competency modeling, and learning measurement
- Experience working in
retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, or consumer goods industries
is highly preferred. - Demonstrated ability to
operate independently as an IC
while influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional initiatives MBA/PGDM in HR or Bachelor's/master's degree
in Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, or related field
