Manager, Software Engineering

As an Engineering Manager at Autodesk's Platform Services (APS) team in Pune, India, you will be leading a team of software engineers to develop scalable cloud services that enable customers to access and utilize their design and engineering data via the cloud. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to extend the product vision, design and develop features, and achieve high standards of quality, security, and user experience. You will be responsible for leading key business outcomes, contributing to the company's long-term strategy, and coaching and developing the team to unlock creativity and deliver high-quality solutions. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline, along with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-scale server applications. You should also have a strong background in leading and managing development teams, hands-on experience with Java, Springboot, Scala, and cloud technologies like AWS, and familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases. Experience in Agile/Scrum principles, hiring top engineering talent, setting up successful teams, and working with product management on goals alignment are essential for this role. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage geo-distributed teams, and a self-starter mindset to drive solutions for identified problems are also key attributes for this position.
