Manager Service Sales

As the Manager of Service Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving aftersales service revenue within the maritime industry. Your primary responsibility will be to increase sales by offering maintenance contracts, spare parts, upgrades, and value-added services for marine and land-based sanitation, waste management, and gas detection systems. This position requires a strategic approach that combines sales execution and aftersales service management to ensure customer retention, profitability, and compliance with industry standards such as MARPOL, IN, ICG, etc. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing aftersales opportunities from existing clients, developing tailored service contracts and preventive maintenance plans, monitoring competitor strategies, preparing commercial offers, and maintaining a service sales pipeline. Additionally, you will need to build long-term relationships with clients, address customer complaints and escalations, and ensure technical and regulatory compliance in service offerings. In terms of service operations coordination, you will work closely with the Aftersales Service Manager and Service Team Leaders to schedule technicians, manage inventory, coordinate spare parts deliveries, and oversee warranty claims. Your role will also involve tracking service KPIs, achieving service sales targets, optimizing pricing strategies, and ensuring the profitability of service operations. To excel in this role, you should have 5-10 years of experience in sales and business development, with a strong focus on aftersales service within the maritime industry. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a keen understanding of technical requirements and regulatory standards, will be essential. Traveling for customer visits and maintaining a proactive approach to customer relationship management are also key aspects of this position.
