Manager Scrap Sourcing

As a Manager Scrap Sourcing at Brick2Wall in Gurugram, you will be responsible for leading and managing international sourcing of scrap from key global markets. Your role will involve engaging with international scrap yards, negotiating prices, evaluating scrap quality, coordinating shipments, handling claims, and staying updated on market trends. You will work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure efficient procurement and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with international scrap yards to negotiate prices and secure consistent scrap supply. - Evaluate and monitor scrap quality and impurity levels to ensure alignment with purchase specifications. - Organize and coordinate container stuffing and shipment schedules for cost-effective and timely logistics. - Handle and resolve claims related to quality issues and shortages in coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders. - Maintain updated market intelligence on global scrap price trends, demand-supply dynamics, and emerging sourcing opportunities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners for long-term sourcing success. - Collaborate with the commercial and operations teams to optimize procurement efficiency and reduce landed costs. Desired Profile: - In-depth knowledge of global scrap price movements and scrap generation regions. - Prior experience sourcing from key markets such as UK, USA, Australia, and the Middle East. - Strong technical knowledge of scrap materials, including grades and impurities. - Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Proven ability to build and manage supplier networks and long-term relationships. - Ability to work independently, manage cross-border operations, and resolve issues under pressure.
