Job Description

Payroll Management

  • Manage

    end-to-end payroll

    for employees across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Validate salary inputs including new joiners, exits, attendance, leave, incentives, variable pay, arrears, and reimbursements.
  • Ensure seamless payroll processing through HRMS/ERP systems and liaise with finance for disbursement.
  • Handle full & final settlements and related statutory clearances.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Compliance & Statutory Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements:

    PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Bonus, LWF, Shops & Establishment, CLRA, and Income Tax

    .
  • Oversee filings, challans, and returns in line with government deadlines.
  • Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and authorities for compliance audits and inspections.
  • Monitor changes in labor laws, taxation, and regulatory updates; recommend timely adjustments in policies and processes.
  • Maintain and update statutory registers, employee records, and compliance documentation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Audit and business teams to address payroll and compliance queries.
  • Manage vendor relationships with payroll service providers and compliance consultants.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for payroll and statutory compliance.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare periodic payroll MIS reports, cost analytics, and compliance dashboards for management review.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of payroll with accounting and finance systems.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in

    Commerce, Finance, or Human Resources

    ; MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • 8–12 years

    of experience in payroll and compliance, preferably in a technology/financial services/insurance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of

    Indian labor laws, social security legislations, and income tax provisions

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    HRMS/Payroll systems

    (DarwinBox, ADP, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in

    MS Excel

    and analytical reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
