  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a management role.
  • Experience with audits, denials, or payer reconciliation.
  • Experience managing or leading a payment posting or RCM team.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of payment posting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to ensure high performance and productivity within the payment posting team.
  • Payment Posting Operations:

    • Oversee the end-to-end payment posting process, including the accurate and timely posting of payments received from various sources such as insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers.
    • Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to payment posting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile payments and adjustments to ensure accuracy in financial records.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between posted payments and expected revenue.
  • Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze payment posting trends and variances, providing insights into revenue patterns.
    • Generate and analyze regular reports on payment posting performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing standards related to payment posting.
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and guidelines affecting payment posting processes.
  • Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with billing, coding, and revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies and address issues related to payment posting.
    • Collaborate with insurance providers and other stakeholders to reconcile payment discrepancies.
  • Technology Utilization:

    • Oversee the use of CollaborateMD to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Identify payments eligible for ERA and communicate with Credentialing submit application for direct deposit.
  • Training and Development:

    • Conduct ongoing training for payment posting staff to keep them informed about industry changes, regulations, and best practices.
    • Encourage professional development and certification for payment posting team members.
