We are seeking a highly experienced
Manager - Operations
with a minimum of 15 years
of expertise in handling large-scale Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects
. This role involves leading plant operations, ensuring process efficiency, optimizing resources, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CBG production, process optimization, and plant management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Operations Process Management
- Oversee the daily operations of CBG plants to ensure smooth functioning and optimal performance.
- Monitor and control key process parameters to maximize gas yield and plant efficiency.
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operations, maintenance, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
2. Resource Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and operators to achieve operational excellence.
- Allocate and optimize manpower, equipment, and raw materials for efficient plant functioning.
- Develop training programs to enhance the technical capabilities of the operations team.
3. Maintenance Troubleshooting
- Ensure timely preventive and predictive maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and losses.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment maintenance and repairs.
4. Safety, Compliance Quality Control
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Ensure the plant operates in compliance with government regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality checks to maintain operational efficiency.
5. Performance Monitoring Reporting
- Analyze plant performance data and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
- Prepare and present detailed operational reports to senior management.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
6. Stakeholder Vendor Management
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, government bodies, and regulatory agencies.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Maintain strong relationships with technology providers to integrate industry advancements.
7. Continuous Improvement Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in biogas technology and operational practices.
- Implement automation, digital tools, and best practices to enhance plant efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to optimize production.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in plant operations, preferably in Compressed Biogas (CBG) or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, and process optimization.
- Experience in managing large teams and handling multi-location operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with government regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
